About performance
Two worlds that are linked in the reconstruction of past and the punch of contemporary dance - both dominated by space dynamics and the joy of dancing. The Incentive of the performance is inspired by the English Renaissance dance of 17th century - Parson's Farewell. The elements that combine the original and new version of Parson's Farewell are spatial dynamics and the joy of dancing. The current performance is characterised by a unique movement-sound matrix Comprised of individual parts of the body hitting the ground in repeated time intervals, each dancer has their own a motion and hence resonant structure that follows. Another element is a silent dance performance during which dancers in low creeping positions create a unique movement-sound matrix. The gradual and graded multiplication of dancers creates a complex visual-aural scene where at first glance it is not clear whether it is sound that affects movement, or vice versa. As a whole, the result of this section is a symphony of moving bodies, at the exact time and in the given space on stage.
